Musical musings on the journey of motherhood

Tina deVaron’s Mom’s Night Out concerts feature her acclaimed music about motherhood, along with a tasty dose of humor. Whether at a house concert, community center, or a larger venue, an evening with Tina honors the mothers in your community and brings everyone closer together.

Tina has delighted mothers all around the country with her extraordinary ability to connect with diverse audiences through soulful singing, virtuosic jazz piano playing, and lyrics that touch hearts. She has performed for community groups, schools, and corporations, and is currently the resident singer/pianist at the Carlyle Hotel’s Bemelmans Room for their popular Tea with Madeline.

Tina travels with a back-up band of accomplished musicians — or she can perform solo, accompanying herself on piano and guitar. She is renowned for her ability to compose a song on the spot, using ideas from the audience. Her show can be a 70-minute “one act” or two 35-minute sets with intermission. Concerts are followed by a meet-and-greet reception with Tina. She also enjoys including musicians from the community, as she did with a cappella choruses from Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia and Bates College in Maine.

Mom’s Night Out concerts are unforgettable and fun; of highest quality, but also intimate and warm. Bring your community together as deVaron illuminates what a gift it is to be raising children in this time and place.

A graduate of Princeton University, Tina deVaron honed her jazz-piano skills playing Cole Porter’s piano at the Waldorf. While raising her two sons, she has enjoyed chart-topping success as a songwriter and is developing a Broadway musical based on her music, with the help of Tony-Award-winning actresses. Her first CD, IF MAMA AIN’T HAPPY, was called “brilliant, funny, and wise” by best-selling author Anne Lamott, who has quoted Tina in her writings. Tina’s newest release, WATER OVER STONES, about raising teenagers, has been hailed by New York Times columnist Lisa Belkin as “the soundtrack of my life!”
