Tina deVaron brings an electrifying combination of wit, impromptu creativity, and sensitivity to womens issues in the workplace, borne of her own experiences as mother, business owner, and Billboard chart-topping songwriter.
At the Working Mother Media Worklife Congress on October 18, 2006, Tina electrified 500 people in the New York City Sheratons Grand Ballroom, singing her rousing "Mom Is NOT My Real Name." She followed it up with the finale from her Broadway musical in development, "Mother of the Year," with surprise lyrics that included references to CEO and founder of Working Mother Media, Carol Evans. Hopping onto the stage, Evans danced to the music and the two women brought down the house.
Later that day, at a Thinkfest session on Working Mothers on the Corporate Ladder, participants were floored when Tina wrote an impromptu song that nailed their entire discussion:
Where does work end, and life begin
My boss has no clue what a mess Im in
My mojo is so low
Nobody in this organizations gonna win
When my sandpaper gets so thin!
Tinas lyrics, music, and immediate connection to her audience are an inspiration that galvanizes team spirit and positive change for mothers in the workplace, and salutes those companies who are striving to be among the best companies for Working Mothers.
Tina is now in conversation with several major corporations, planning concerts about the work-life balance at their conferences.
