If Mama Ain’t Happy

This is the album that started it all. I had a pop song I wrote for someone else climbing charts, and another song on hold for J-Lo.  But I had all these songs in my head about my experience of being a Mom.  So I gave a concert at St. Michael’s church on NYC's Upper West Side, and all these moms came.  And as I sang these new songs, I heard gasps in the audience, I saw some moms break down in tears.  And I thought, even though the record industry doesn't get it, I have something here.
